Not a Care

Having the little ones sit still to 'model' is, well, laughable! Sleeping seems to be the best time to capture their sweet faces--although, funny enough, they STILL move around and snuggle in. Thank goodness for my little 'travel' pallet so I can go where my 'models' are located.

Kerra, excellent portrait of the Sleeping Angels. Great smooth brush work and very subtle color choices. Miguel

I feel the same...I always want to paint them when they are sleeping and yet, if I move or turn on the light it might ruin the moment so I just make a moment and try to remember it. Your work is amazing!

Artist Reply: Thanks so much for your feedback, Erika! I love it when I get more than just a simple one word comment---so much more personal. Since the 'eye' in my memory is, sadly, quite pathetic, I have to draw it right then and there or else I construe their sweet little faces into a hideous and unrecognizable creation! LOL Hope your New Year starts out GREAT! -Kerra :)

Very effective use of a difficult medium, watercolor. There is a lot of tenderness in just a few brush strokes. Keep up the good work.
