This is from a photo I took this past summer of a place where we went camping. The sun was just coming over the hill across the lake, and I thought it would be a nice scene to paint.
Artist Reply: Thanks Dennis for your kind comments. I was just there this past weekend looking at the same scene. The beauty of the area is an inspiration to a nature lover and an artist. Ann

Nice work Ann. Very nice. My favourite might be the marten or the big crane. They capture the solitude and peacefullness of my inner sanctity well. You do have some nice sun beams here, I'll agree and a certain, je ne sais quois.
It is unfortunate that to make any money at all at art, one of these three conditions must be met.
The artist must die
The artist's arms must be severed by a locomotive and then he/she must continue to paint with the same quality using only toes or mouth
or lastly, the artist must go insane and that insanity must be transferred into the canvas with every brush stroke
Have you ever thought of being a brakeman?
Eagerly awaiting your upcoming drag racing canvas.
Artist Reply: M, I'll pass on being a brakeman, thanks. I want to keep my arms. I also don't feel like dying any time soon, so I guess I'll take the latter. I'm half way there now anyways. lol.
Thanks for the compliments and also the laughs! Ann
I think this is still my favorite. I just love the way you captured the early morning sunlight. You are my inspiration.... good friend.
Artist Reply: Thanks so much Theresa! This one has special meaning because we go to this beautiful spot every year camping and look out at this scene every morning. I can't wait to be back up there again this year. I can almost smell the campfires burning and hear the fish jumping.
Thanks for your kind words about being an inspiration. Your encouragement and friendship helps me tons too! Thanks, Ann
