This little fella doesn't even have a name, so I just call him "Scruffy!"... He has spent most of his entire life tied up to that short bit of string, guarding a farmhouse in a remote village in Mindanao, which is the large Island in the Southern part of the Philippines. The first time I stayed at the farm, I couldn't get anywhere near this dog, he was so agressive and afraid of humans. By the end of my second visit though, I was taking him for two or three daily walks out through the rice fields - and we became great pals!
