This is FANTASTIC, Katie. I agree that it would make a fascinating tapestry as well as your coral paintings might. You might find or have a friend that loves print making one day, so keep it in mind. I'm not an expert on design and certainly not on felt tip, but I think that it's almost perfect...maybe a bit rushed on the two tiny tiny bottom corners, but I had to look long and hard to find those. I think that the intricacies of the more complex knots are within your own vision (artistic licence) so I don't understand that comment. Keep up the great work my young friend.
Artist Reply: Thank you so much Sally, I'll keep them in mind to become awesome tapestries! =D
I am fascinated by this...How incredible this would be on tapestry or colored on cloth.
Artist Reply: Hey, I should look into that, but all I know is that I an terrible with that sort of thing, I would have to get a proffesional to make the tapestry happen
!
This is REALLY interesting. Is it true to the celtic knot by not having an end? It seems to be. There is sooo much here. I would have foregone a lot of the zig zagging and swirls and stayed with the traditional theme but otherwise I LOVE the idea here. Remember to take your time and be patient. It will pay off.
Artist Reply: Its true alright, only by a long intricate process...Let's just say it took alot of white out in some parts!!
I was just trying out celtic knot, swirl, and key patterns on graphing paper, and then I thought about connecting all the little bits somehow. So I added stuff, fixed it up with whiteout, and colored it in. I rushed because I immediately got sick of it, but i still like how it turned out.
Design is good, and the colors are vibrant. Very imaginative and gives a good over-all impression. Work a little on refinement of your technique. It is coming together.
Artist Reply: Thanks Faith, It's coming along, and yes, I was sloppy on this one, since I was dying to finish it!
