While touring Turkey in August of 2005 we stopped here at a huge salt lake. During the summer months the water lever becomes so low that you can walk on the salt. I saw these two ladies had dug down to the mud which is rich in mineral and very good for the skin. They had applied the mud to their legs, but were still fully clothed otherwise, even continuing to wear their burkas. The contrast of the black mud and the lighter salt really makes them stand out.
