Mt. Diablo

(c)2006 Mt. Diablo is, in the San Francisco Bay Area, quite a large mountain which dominates the skyline from all points around it. It resides in Contra Costa County and is well known for it's Taranchula spiders during their breeding season. Though it's name is devil mountain in english, it is so well thought of and loved by the local population that it's name should be the opposite of what it is,...like Yahaveh Mountain. From it's observation site at the very top of the main peak, on a clear day one can see over the Sierra Mountains 200 miles to the east into Nevada and even Utah. In the future I plan on doing a full photo layout of my experiences of going up to the top of it's peak. :O)

Hello Greg! this looks like a fantastic Mountain...I love the colors in this phto...so WARM...LIKE THE BACK OF A GREAT BEAST RISING FROM THE EARTH FROM A LONG SLEEP. I will be looking forward to seeing more shots of this one in the future. Lucky you living in North CAL. I lived in Cal. 3 different times in the southern parts never the North. I hear the weather is much nicer there than down south where it gets too hot. My Sister Mary lives in Cal. right now with her family. She just got back from visiting me a week ago. California always had a hold on me...still does. That is why when anyone has any shots from the area I love to see them. Fantastic work. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and Great Christmas season. Thank you for all the comments on my work, I appreciate it very much, more than you know. I am pleased to know you and have enjoyed looking at your drawings and reading all your thoughts this past year or so. I think you are such a great guy! Lots of love to you and all your family always. Sincerely CB
