These watercolors are so fresh and simple. I'd love to see them stand alone without the text, borders, spirals, etc. Your work should not be competing with all the extra stuff.

HELLO DEAR FRIEND...THIS IS LOVELY WORK...THE BRUSH STROKES SO ACCURATE. THIS is a great demonstration of your precise, beautiful and sensitive skills. I adore Irises...I had an Aunt named Iris! How is everything? I Love your Bio Picture. Maybe you should do a self portrait. I would love to see one. How is life? I hold you as a great treasure in my heart always, Babara! really! I thank you for all your words and the times you took to visit me here on AW! You are the treasure you spoke of long ago when we first met here on these pages. I will love you always. sincerely CB

Artist Reply: yeah we do go back a long way huh! sisters in the soul of heART. it's neat to paint freely in a sketch and have it turn out better than if I had toiled over it for a final on pricey watercolor paper. i did one self portrait a long time ago before when young and fresh. guess it's time to show how one can age gracefully... all the wisdom is worth the inner beauty as opposed to the charm that fades... I think i'll take you up on the challenge. I love how you put yourself into your works - literally! ... thank you friend for your continued support and encouragement.

Artist Reply: thank you kostas for your comments on my sketchbook series. good to view your gallery as well... I just saw your portfolio and a quote from John Ruskin came to mind: "He is the greatest artist who has embodied, in the sum of his works, the greatest number of the greatest ideas." I think you have achieved that.
