sorrow of one sorrow of many WAR

copywrite Lori Wadsworth, this is a colored pencil painting of my daughter, and the american flag, a tribute by me to all americans who have served in the military, and the war on terror. It is also my tribute to all those who were affected by 9/11 which is what sealed my desire to do this painting . I hope to someday complete a series of tributes to all branches of the military, law enforcement, as well as Fire&Rescue personel.

This was one of my favorites in the Family Contest. I thought it really spoke about the meaning of family without being a family portrait per se. Everybody seems to agree... powerful.

Artist Reply: thankyou, I am very happy to know that this image spoke to people the way I hoped it would. I haven't done a lot of work, but hope to accomplish works that speak to the soul, for me that is very rewarding and worth more than money could ever buy.
