canvas 8"x10" painted from a poem by Ruth Avery... this painting is a tribute to this lady. =================================== Dreams by the Sea I sat on the crest of a windy hill above the rocks and the rolling sea With wind and spray upon my face and sailed away where dreams are free. The sea gulls sailed on silent wings above the sea and the rising gale While I sat on the rocks with dreamy eyes and watche the ship with billowing sail. I dreamed of the southern island sands. of Paris, the Louve, the home of the arts And of ancient sights, the pyramids so grand, the Alps, Vienna. Oh, when can my ship depart. And as I watched the shore waves lost their curl, The ship with my dreams sailed out of sight, And carried away, the visions of a young girl. Perhaps fantasy? Or daytime dreams of delight. by Ruth Avery - printed with permission =================================== I do original creations... my themes vary accordingly with my emotions, i let the inspiration flow naturaly without resistance into my style, ...a single word can become a painting... if interested to see more you are invite to visit my website ===================================
