Alice Coulter, Pirate Failure

She tried so hard. But it seemed that every time she got a ship across the bow, it'd miraculously jump fifty yards out of range. Or the grapnels would snap. Or her powder kegs would go rolling off the side. She swore it was just bad luck, but it was such virulent ill fate that she was beginning to wonder if she hadn't made baby Jesus cry. Or walked under a ladder. Something, yanno? But the pirate's life was filled with unexpected surprises... or so they all told her. She just wished they'd be nicer surprises. So, this has just been sent off to Pirates Magazine, now I can upload it. Magazine should be out end of the month, go check it out. Oh, and you'll get more of Alice's story in the accompanying article. Which I warn you, is 'to be continued...'
