Artist Reply: Thanks Lucia, You know, I work alone in a basement studio, night after night for years and although I get a lot of illustration work, I dont have time to reflect on why it sells or what it is about it that people go for. Frankly, working in semi-isolation means I have no idea if its all crap or its well rendered. I guess I paint and draw to please myself first, and if I like it, then chances are somebody else out there will. I am blown away by all the kind words about my work here at Art Wanted, and had no idea this site was so well populated with so many different styles and mediums. I feel like Ive come upon a treasure trove of talent and like minds. I of course do a lot of speculative work as well and have galleries at Elfwood.com and Epiloque.net, but here, there is a venue for more mainstream and experimental art, and since I do so much of that sort of thing, its nice to have place to show it and get feedback. I will defiantly be upgrading my site here, but have so many work deadlines that I am not sure when I will be able. WM
