I was searching for images of barns on google when I came across this small photo of Barn Swallows. One is dead .. causes unknown .... but it's obvious that it's companion is grief stricken with loss. Usually I use several references for a painting and modify things to make sure no one gets after me about copywrite infringement, but I couldn't change anything in this one ... It told me to paint it as is. Why I painted a dead Swallow with it's mourning mate I have no idea ... I just had to. Oil on stretched canvas 16" x 8" ... you painted this because...you feel, you painted this because so do all creatures of the world...the beauty of it is love and the heart that sings whether in sorrow or joy...it is a most excellent painting and unforegettable...something of truth with deep profound meaning...Amen!!!
