Reclined Feline

This cat had such a graceful and regal pose that I couldn't help but to take a photograph of her. Although it is just a stray, there is a certain air of dignity about her. Image copyright 2006 David Loke.

Regal would be a good name for her. Lovely photo.

Artist Reply: Hi there Lauren :) Thanks for your comment. I think I'll nickname her Regal on your behalf the next time I see her...:)

I wish I wasn't allergic to cats...I would surely love to have this one. Look at those front paws and that white bib, this is a cat of great worth. It should be rescused if you can...find it a home. How sad to see such a lovely creature lost to the world. I am sure someone would really love it. Elegant shot!!!

Artist Reply: Hi there Christine..:) Thanks for dropping by and for your comment. I'm sorry that you have an allergy to cats. They are indeed gorgeous animals and they make excellent companions....though some might say we are actually subtly manipulated to become their pets...:) Though this is a stray cat, I can assure you that she lives in a government funded leprosy care facility. The facility itself is closed off to the general public but this cat and her offsprings are well cared for in the compound outside of the facility by the hospital staff and the people who live nearby. She behaves like a queen and is already in a much better place than my cramped apartment. :D
