wow, very nice. it's hard to do a drawing made up basically of highlights!

Artist Reply: I am SO glad you like this as I did it when I was ill during a few months last year and could not use my hand. When it started to get a bit better I could not manage a full pastel drawing but did this on black paper with a bit of white and silver pastel and a smidgeon of pink and green. Much easier than a full portrait, on the hand, but yes hard to get a likeness spot on but I think I managed it with Jack!Thanks Crystal.

Artist Reply: Thankyou so much Michael. Profound? That is what I aim for and I can not tell you how good it makes me feel that you think it is! I do aim for absolute likeness when creating a portrait and with pastels I find I can make the image come 'alive'. Thankyou so much for your kind words.

I HAVE JUST STARTED TO USE PASTEL PENCILS AND FEEL INSPIRED BY YOUR LOVELY WORK. EXCELLENT.

Best of luck with the pastels too - I use the soft pastels for the main work and pastel pencils to finish off any fine work I need. They are mucky but the best medium for me and I wish you every success in your efforts.

Tell your dad that he is a very perceptive man if he likes Stargate and especially Jack O'Neill - wonderful series! btw your cartoons are great -clever girl! You have loads of talent!
