Portrait of the African Wild Dog also known as Painted Wolf. Painted in oil on canvas board 20x25. These dogs are very rare and listed by the IUCN as threatened by extinction. Between 2,000 and 5,000 of these animals remain in the wild, mostly in game preserves or national parks.

Great portrait. I have always liked African wild dogs, in spite of their unpopularity. I think you captured their look perfectly.
