APL Thailand

For anybody who noticed that I sometimes go missing on AW for months at a time, it's because of my profession as a marine engineer. This is the APL Thailand, the last ship I was working on. Pictured here in Dutch Harbor, Alaska. The APL Thailand is a 4500 TEU (Twentyfoot Equivelant Units) container ship. It is 970 feet long and is powered by a slow speed 67,000 horsepower B&W diesel engine. Currently its route of service includes, San Pedro and Oakland in California, Dutch Harbor, Yokohama Japan, Pusan South Korea, Xiamen China, Hong Kong, Yantian China, and Kaoshuing Taiwan.
