Artist Reply: Thanks, Lauren. This is from the Catskills. Some very good painters have spent a lot of time there over the past 200 years, working the landscape.

Beautiful work as always...the water looks so real...do I detect a face in the lower right hand corner or is that an optical illusion?

Artist Reply: Thanks, Arlene. Nah, it must be an optical illusion... :) (Actually, there are about eight faces in that area, but because this photo is pretty bad, the others don't really show up.) Wish I still had the original, to get a better shot of it.
