Three of my favorite raku fired pieces. The 'donuts' are named Thunder and Lightening. Thunder has a white crackle finish and the visible interior is the smokey gray/black color that comes from withholding oxygen during the firing. Lightening has a white crackle finish, but the visible interior is done in a metallic finish. Finally, Smoke is done in a matte copper finish. The colors vary from red to the most subtle blues. All are made from earthenware clay, wheel thrown, and carved.
