Whoa! Great sense of movement and depth here. My eyes are being sucked into the rapids just as you had planned. I love how close you stood to the water and how vulnerable it makes me feel. The intense angles formed by the row of trees on either side of the water lead the viewer deep into the valley. Also, once our eye is abruptly stopped by the massive rock wall in the distance, the horizontal line then leads us to the right to yet another sharp angle which forces us downward to follow the flowing water once again. The shadowed valley beneath really emphasizes the coolness of the rushing water. This photo captures a strong 'inner cycle' that is'nt visible upon first glance. Great photo!
