Great work Malcolm. The Swing bridge is a great subject but oftain ignored for it's more famous neighbour. Did you really do this JUST in watercolour?? Outstanding.
Artist Reply: Yes I did paint this entirely in watercolour.
My method is to initially flood the paper with paint , I use the Russian White Nights paints as theses are very moist from the pan , then texture the paint with cling film, salt, glass, grease proof paper or bubble wrap.
Once dry I then overlayed the design, lift out the highlights then paint the picture.
