Darkness

Oh my god. Finally finished. I've been working all days long on this one since 5 days now. This is the most wicked yet the most beautiful artwork I have ever done, according to me. I really like it. Okay. The raven and the skull head are references but I added some of my touch on these to make them more original. I wanted some more realism into my drawing and this is what made it so marvellous to me. Keith (the guy) and Emily (no need to precise) are naked because nothing is more beautiful and equal than how nature is made. No matter how you see yourself, you are the same as the person right in front of you. (indeed I mean girl - girl and boy - boy) This is what the couple is representing. And both are being engulf into darkness. Now the skull head with the horns, the vampire fangs and the raven itself both represent one of my character which is ironically called Raven. He is a vampire though he is a pretty nice being. Raven represents darkness; I guess the skull head horned with the fangs along with the raven (the bird) really shows darkness. The dead tree growing in Keith's hand is just a plus to give more emotions and 'shadowness' to the artwork itself. If some of you ask, Emily is scared because she doesn't know what darkness can be. Appearance is an appearance but she doesn't want to admit it in herself. Ok, enough talk. It was done with a 2 HB and 6B pencils. Keith and Emily are © to me. Artwork is © to me. The raven and skull head (without the horns and fangs) are references from books.
