Where do we usually position our memories? Though the familiar article keeps standstill, memories can be changed based on different audiences’ awareness to emotion and memory in daily life. I draw a chair for memories, trying to pull audience’s sight attention to our common experiences. The quiet space and sunlight are the best places for memories to stay All the tiny things in our daily life can create exquisite memory layers. The chair represents the people in the past or in the future. Like a bike’s tire, the same tire surface will contact different road surface after it rotates for one round. Since people always surpass themselves and jump to future, an individual’s past and future are formed. Though the familiar article keeps standstill, memories can be changed based on different audiences’ awareness to emotion and memory in daily life. Like the meaning of “still life”, standstill life is still alive.

I really enjoy this piece a lot. The color, the looseness and the way this works with the concept.Thomas Hirsch 15 Jun 2006
