Alone With Asphodels

Asphodels, the flowers littering the fields of Hell. My FIRST woodburning, this piece was in the Skulls and Flowers Art Show we held here in Atlanta. It actually got pictured in Prick Magazine. My first magazine "appearance."

It's beautiful. Great amount of depth with the darkest "burnt" parts. REALLY NICE! Looks like gold!

Artist Reply: Available at Michael's, it's a sawed piece of, I think, balsa wood. It's very lightweight, and very light color. Possibly pine, but I've no idea.
