So Pink

A painting I created using just Painted IX.5 and my Wacom tablet & pen. I used these brushes in a mixed media as I painted: airbrush, pastels, chalks, and lighted blended in some areas. Not a manipulated photo. This one took me several days to do as Each stroke has to be done. I did crop and copy certain flowers I wanted to repeat in the design to place up in the corner of my scene as I worked on other aeas of the design, flipping the image around as you would turn a piece of paper. This way I could see the type I was trying to repeat. I know it's easier to just paste and then alter them, but, sometimes, I just want to do it like the old fashion way, one at a time, as if using traditional materails. That's how I learned to draw and paint to begin with as a child. So, My hands felt a bit better, and I did more tedious work and am please. Yes, it's created as a digital work, but I just can't hold and press a real air brush, real pastels or chalks fovery often anymore due to pain. It would take me months to do this kind of work, on real paper or canvas, to advoid painful flair ups. I miss the old ways, but make do. This is painful enough. So, tonight, just two works, posting new. Hands are good, so, naturally, my neck , back and hip have to make trouble. Besides, off to play again tomoorow with grandkids and spoil them.

Terry this is so beautiful. Hope you're feeling beter to create more fantastic art! :)

Artist Reply: Thanks Lynnda! Better today, and got some rest I needed. Grand kids out visiting, so overdoing it some. Just have to do things I can do,such as manipulated designs. Those I can do with ease, or photos, so work on those moe with flare ups. The designs are fun, and I am learing to do them in new ways, so, the pain again, has taught me new ways to create. Also to say HA! to my pain, I still created something! As long as I can do something, I will always be happy.

So many pretty flowers. Love it.

Artist Reply: Thanks Penny! One can never have too many flowers. Even ones I'm allergic to, I will brave a quick camera shot, from a zoom lens, to enjoy at least looking at them! LOL! Mango trees are not my friends, though. I was going to live in Hawaii, but had to move due to increasing allergies from the mango tree pollen. I managed 2 years living there almost! LOL! I hope to go back on vacation, timed when magoes not in bloom, of course! LOL!

beautiful and know the feeling about the pain in your hands but you keep going

Artist Reply: Thank you! The feelings make me limited at times, but I get joy in defeating the pain. It makes worki challenging at times. Sometimes I can not work as I wish. Most times, I find and create ways I can, such as with digital painints , photographs, and manipulated designs and creatinons. Not a bad life. I have gone past doctor predictions out of sheer stubborness to do more. It gets me into trouble, such as overduing gardening 2 years ago. I was okayed to do some, but got carried away and ignored pain in my neck and shoulder. TSeems I had some deep tissue tears from my car accident that, of course, I had to find and make worse. So, theraphy done, and 2 years of waiting to garden-in moderation! I will be gardening with less physical activity, and get help for what I should not do. I will be traveling this summer soon, so will take my laptop, camer, and Wacom tablet. Will upload work when I can, and have so much when I return to put up, and to work on. I'm up to a road trip with my sister to visit other family. We will be like kids together, stopping to take photos on the way. I hope soon to get her work up on-line. I've several very talented siblings. We all seem to be artistic in a variety of works, music, poetry, fine arts, to crafts, and writing. Many are multi-talented.

Such pretty colors!

Artist Reply: Thank you Emily! I'sd been visiting some rose gardens with family. My grandson was so intent in taking his photos! I gave him a cool amll camera his "spy cam" He took photos and funny little videos. We found he has a natural eye for photgraphy! We'll help him keep up his interests in the future. Meanwhile, he's making us laugh as he goes around and plays detective. He narrates outloud what he sees. So creatively spoken. LOL! He has made himself adventures as he works.

This is very beautiful,Terry!!

I'm sorry to hear of all your pains Terry....I do hope it improves......Thi piece is so very wonderful and beautifully done...and you do tell a wonderful story to explain your Art......

Artist Reply: Thanks Deborah! Pain comes and goes. I do better using a Wacom tablet and the wireless sylyus pen. It lets me works often for hours without the pain I would have holding traditional paint brushes, pencils, pens, etc. I am lucky to be able to do as much as I can. I cope and push myself. It is much better now than 2 years ago. I have great doctors and new medications and treatment. Still, I survived a nasty accident, so at least pain reminds me of this blessing. It gives me an enjoyment that I can still create and often this joy guides what I create.
