This beautiful beast was napping, basking on the banks of the swamp where nearby, her babies { I counted 9} swam around, and made adorable cirping sounds.} I spent 2 days watching this magnificent creature and have decided they are my favorite animals of all time...{PS: She is free and wild, NOT captive!}

Artist Reply: Hi Tanya! I am happy to get your nice comment!I love your obvious admiration and respect for this animal! So many people do not appreciate them. It saddens me beyond belief that alligators are trapped and killed for eating animals or people, when they are doing what they are supposed to do...and the people are idiots trespassing in the alligators pantry! I know--that maybe sounds extreme, but it breaks my heart: the alligators side of the story is so unheard. Thanks for looking and commenting! Terri
