Repost...Much improved photos.A real piece of History of Myself :-)..."Art to Wear" - old project from my college days... (1987)A costume painted by hand on silk, some of the racing cars were being puffed and sewed into the fabric. I was inspired by several photos of Formula 1 Racing cars, from "Auto" Magazine. This is the trousers, upper image- the behind part...bottom image -the front part. This is my second Silk handpainted work...and actually ,it was done during my college days..but it is totally self thought for ME,the Silk painting...and this all idea,of this garment....each of us as students, had the total freedom to choose media,or subject, for this "Art to Wear " project. To be continued...-the Silk Shirt for this project. It was not really meant to be a costume to wear, but more of artistic textile.Copyrights (c)Nira Dabush

I love this. Absolutely. Marlboro... my love! Just kidding, Nira. This is really a stunning work of art. And I always want to know: how many days, weeks, months... to do this??? This reminds me of my teenager time (just yesterday morning:-). I saw a movie abour racers and I was very impressed: those cars sooooo fast under a bridge...! Really dangerous; nowadays I prefer to be on the bridge :-))) Congratulations. You always amaze me, with your recent creations but with your "beginnings" too! I said once, I'm sure you have a hidden treasure, fill of incredible artwork. Please, show it to all of us. Or, at least, give me a map... :-))) Boker-tov, dear Nirush. Have a wonderful day.thea walstra 24 May 2006
