Nature Sprite 1

Available Original Art

MEDIUM/GROUND: Photomanipulation/Digital Painting

DESCRIPTION: This photograph of a pink iris takes the viewer inside to discover a metaphysical spirit of nature. A sprite, or flower pixie, looks back at us from the left side portion of the bloom. Her lips seem puckered as if kissing the flower, which is already past it's prime, a last goodbye. Manipulated through digital image programs. Part of my personal collection of photographs that show mythological beings, or creatures, in action. A REAL sprite here, or just a trick of the light? I give you my word that I did nothing to create the face within this photograph. It could clearly be seen with the naked eye. I had been shooting this flower for some time already so perhaps she was watching me! :)

the lady is love!!!

Artist Reply: To me, it sure looks as if she's pouring all the love she can into the last moments of this bloom. The scent of the flower is always at it's best just before it dies too -- I wonder if that's part of the gift of the sprite? :)

Love it fantastic work tree awesome detail and colors :)

Artist Reply: Thanks Loredana! Means a great deal coming from one so gifted with the camera.

yup she was watching and now every viewer as well.... nice photo

Artist Reply: Actually her face was easier to see without the camera. Very often my imagination will "see" forms that aren't there in a photograph taken. This time the image was very much present! What fun! Thanks for your comment!!
