I love the freedom of these beautiful horses roaming freely in the lovely green pasture. I just wrote an editorial on the plight of the Mustang in the United States relating to my photo "Mustang Sally." I hope everyone is informed about the tragic plight of wild horses and the dedicated people who are devoted to regain their well deserved freedom. Given your love of animals, it might be worth taking a look so we can all work together to stop these horrible crimes!! You photo is a testament to freedom of the spirit and the rights of all life to live natually and with dignity.

Artist Reply: A kinderded spirit! Horses are such amazing creatures! Mustangs have long been targets of awful plights. I remember well learning years ago how they had been rounded up and slaughtered to be used for can dog food. I've come across wild horses, and have done some work to save them. Similarly, the plight of buffalo, such as in Yellowstone Park's treatment of them. These are lucky horses, room to graze and roam without fear and the dangers of the mustangs. Mustangs are better protected now, than they had been, and more needs to be done. Would b interested in doing some paintings to donate to mustang protection charities. Perhaps on forums, if you post a thread up, we can work on something and pool info with others.

Luscious landscape and terrain!

Artist Reply: Thank you Emily! A beautiful field for a horse photo. Out where I live in Arzona, don't see much grass in fileds. Most fields with horses are desert, sparse, and mostly dirt, rocks, and brush. Really drab for scenic horse shots.
