Old house in over growth 2

This is another of my husband's photos he has sent me. I asked him to find me old houses and barns on his recent trip. So to please me he went out in the rain and took photos. He has a good eye for captures, and spotted this old house. I love the vegetation that has gone wild around and over it.

Artist Reply: LOL! I wish! I'm in the desert in a dry area with more brush comprized of tumble weeds and cacti! My husband would have had the grass cut if on his property.

Beautiful shot, I almost expect to see an elf peering from that shed :)

Artist Reply: LOL! Me too Cristina! I hope to get some prints like this and othe interesting shots for language arts activities for school next year. It is more fun for the kids to do a story about finding a place like this and what happened, than just doing sentences. They love getting into developing a story. I take dictation from the students that can't write and read, but can tell me their story. I'm collecting a bunch of scenes for them. I hope to sponsor an afterschool art class as well for differrnet ages 4 days aweek, so will have the photos for them to use as referrences. Also hoping to get a grant to get digital cameras for the school, enough for a class. That way, I can do a photography club, and classes and check out the cameras for special projects.

This is very beautiful,Terry!!!

Artist Reply: Thanks Joke! So many of the artisit can see these photos with the artist eye that picks up the beauty! I would love to have coffee table books of photos such as these. Sometimes you see the calendars of pristine barns and old manors. I want those and this as well. This is more interesting to draw of paint, not all symetrical, but draws your eye from one spot to another.

this is really neat Terry

Artist Reply: Thank you Corry! I love seeing places like this. I appeciate all the differences in areas in buildings, history, and culture. It all adds to the over all feel of a place, has it's own charm.

LOVE THIS GREAT IMAGE :)

Artist Reply: Thank you Loredana! It has great vines that I will use in a painting. Just perfect for something I have been mulling over how to do that part.

Terry, he is very good and what a fine gift to give. A lovely man and a lovely marriage. miguel

Artist Reply: Thank you Miguel! I treasure all his gifts to me. I'm not too fussy or demanding of a wife. He's traveled the world all over, and I never minded it. He always came back home. Keeps it like a honeymoon.

Great ! A place for solitude !

Artist Reply: Thanks Jose! I would have loved to have this to play in as a child! It would have been my secreat clubhouse to camp out in. My brother's would have found it and bugged me, I'm sure. I love the vines growing over it.
