This is from a photo that a friend took and gave me permission to use. Its done with several plug-ins and PSPX. It's a little bit weird but then so is life..eh? :)
Interesting but needs work, IMO. The center of interest is the tree, but it's smack dab in the middle, which makes a very static composition. In turn, the bright green side edges as well as the sharp contrast between the black background and top edge with the light sky draws attention from the more subtle colors of the image itself. I'd suggest getting rid of the tattered edge treatment totally, and losing the bright green.
