Bastet

The Egyptian Knor Goddess Bastet was worshipped for over 4000 years. She is the goddess of healing, dance and joy. As the influence of Sirius is growing, her presence can be felt stronger.

Anne, I like it when you put a lot of "drawing" into your work, like this one (better than the photoshop-heavy ones) I hope you don't mind the positive crit.

Your goddess looks like a friendly version (like my version of Cerberus). Egyptians developed such an complex and elegant religion, a 4000 year project. Some wonderful and profound things have to come out of such a tradition and you are just extending it into the present with your kitties.

Maybe this is the reality perspective my cat has toward me and other two leggers, that says: HEY! We are at least emotional equals!!! y/n?

Wow Ann this is a beautiful image! And although my husband is Egyptian, he and his family and have taught me so much about their history and culture, I did not know about the Knor Goddess Bastet, I love all that she stands for, as we could all benefit from those very things. Thank you for the lesson along with your beautiful image. Laurie :)

Sorry to critize, but after the plagues brought upon Egypt reported in the book of Exodus, Egyptian worshipped the God of Abraham , Issac and Jacob for many more years than that. And in the book of Genesis they had also did the same under the vice Pharoahship of Joseph. I mean after all we ( and the Egyptians) are all God's children to do with as He wishes. So I'd suggest making Him happy.

Artist Reply: This is long before the time you are referring to and I am convinced we are in the process of going to a time when it is not He but a time when He and She are in balance.
