Artist Reply: She is a tragic character from Irish myth. She was betrothed to Irish hero Finn Mac Cool, but is in love with a knight called Diarmuid, whom at first did not return her love, but he eventually fell head over heels for her and they had to go on the run to avoid Mac Cool.
