Purple tulips blooms

This is a photo that I took on Easter Morning of some tulips that bloomed that day. I later used these flowers for a painting, "Purple Tulips In Bloom." Thought you might want to see the real beauties. There were not buds on these the night before they bloomed. I had watered them that night. It was a lovely Easter Morning surprize for me! Even better, purple tulips, my favorite!

This is a superb shot. I love the purple colour and the close shot. A simply wonderful capture.

Artist Reply: Thank you Miguel! LOL! THe background is actually a window screen. I had the camera set to focus on the flower, and it softens the background when it does this automaticly.

I am working on dozens of paintins of florals, but usually like to wait to review them a month or so, to see them with fresh eyes, then touch up final parts to complete them. I will be taking floral photos much more often in the future as well, I've a good camera now and learned how to use it some.
