This 5x7 woodstain on coldpress is the cover work for the first BookLit in the Tentative Muses project. In this project, I am collecting a hundred first sentences from other people, and writing a short story beginning with their sentence, which is then published as an eight page BookLit. When the hundred stories are completed, they will all be brought together for publishing. The original art is being held for the entirety to be complete, at which time all the participants will be invited to a gala book release and art show! copyright 2005; Loree Harrell

Loree, you genius, I miss talking to you, exquisite work. I love to spot the iconic replications and see if I can find the spirit lines. I have been a little out of touch because my dearest mother had a bionic knee put in this week and we had massive arrangements to make for rehab. I have studied your writing work and you are so talented, I would be remiss to not say I would be tempted with the talent to move ahead with that. It seems that you have married the two idioms. How clever. Your stories and poems have given me tears and belly hurting laughter. You are a marvelous writer. I owe you a story and now that mom is firmly ensconsed with many caretakers I can relax a little and get back to my work. You are a doll and such a talent. Please accept my congratulations and my apologies for the lack of contact this week. It couldn't be helped. But please do establish that interstellar connection again, I miss it like mist on my face. miguel
