Mt. Rainier from Tolmie Peak

This is one of the hikes that is only accessable for 5 months of the year because of the elevation (just under 6000 ft.) The sliver of blue beneath the Mt., Mowich Lake, is where this hike originates. The fire lookout on the top of Tolmie Peak is a great place for lunch and an awesome view!!! It's a 2 mi. hike to Eunice Lake, below, and another mile to the fire lookout, where this picture was taken. On a real hot day we might just stop at Eunice Lake for a dip in the freezing cold water. Your fingers and toes are numb in 5 min. but you are cooled off for the trip back to Mowich Lake.
