This piece is 18 x 28. I had some difficulty with it due to the lighter shades. I have been working on darker pieces of late, and I have forgotten that you have to lay the base color for lighter shades then build out from there. In this piece for the background I wanted to give the illusion of leaves present. In addition I was working to achieve a different angle and lighting techniques. Trying to improve and try different things. That is how you grow as an Artist. I want to thank Lauren Munger for giving me the inspiration for this painting. Her floral photography is amazing! I hope you like it Lauren.

That is a beautiful pastel Cynthia! I was reading your bio and felt such joy for you that your beautiful little one helped to detect the cancer! That is a great story.
