Painted Hills - The Main Viewpoint

Here's are two views of the Painted Hills from the main viewpoint. At this time the sun had just slipped in behind a cloud. The landscape was still beautiful. Later when the sun came out this view was among the most incredible scenes I have ever seen. I shot nearly a roll with the film camera before taking out the digital camera. When I was ready to shoot the light vanished. For more information ask about my blog entry.

Beautiful! This is the first time I've ever seen the Painted Hills, thanks for the sight seeing tour--great captures! The compositions are great, love the coloring, patterns, they almost seem other-worldly.
