Janet texting on her cellphone. This was my attempt at a soft pastel painting based on a photograph that I took of the lovely Janet from General Santos City in Mindanao, Philippines. Based on one of my own photographs. The original photograph, on which this painting was based, cn be seen in my Early Attempts at Pastel album.

wow, another beautiful one...i love the way you worked it all so beautifully ...is it hard to work with pastels...my husband bought me some but i haven't done anything with them yet...since i didn't do so well with the charcoals...i've been hesitant to try anything else...oh wait a minute...just recently, i have been trying my hand at with a free painting program and been doing that lately...
