Purple Blooms in a Vase

I picked some blossoms from my garden and created a still life floral from them. I enjoy gathering flowers, arranging them and saving the memory of a relaxing time, while creating new beaut from nature. I take photos for art, and also for my own stock images for other artwork, such as painting. This painting is a digital art painting created by using a Wacom art tablet w/wireless pen to my computer. Using Painter IX software, I chose the brushes (mostly airbrushes and pastels( and tools (blenders and water) to paint this from a blank canvas. While I look at a photo, the paintng is not a photo. I had to make brush storkes/pen/draw every part of this painting. Most of my gallery paintings are digital art paintings. If I use a photo and manipulate it with software tools, I post them as manipulated photo/ digital art paintings so that you can tell when I do that. I want visitors to see that you can do both types of works. You can create from a blank canvas (from scratch) wonderful art on the computer. I hope you like my work and thank you for visiting! I post often, so hope you check back again!

Gorgeous artwork, you are so very Talented!!!

Artist Reply: Thanks so much, Dee! It means a lot to me. I refused to do art work for years and years, due to some snotty things someone said to me. I forgot about it, except doing more arts and craft type works. A few years ago, an accient had me on my rump for a few years recoverying. So bored, I discovered the Wacom tablet and computer art. It made my whole life change. I'm back and on my feet, now, a little wobbly, but back to work with kids. I love working with them as much as art, so very happy nowadays. I've time to do them both!

soft and muted lots of empy space could use some words 8.8

Artist Reply: Thank you! I do add words, verses, sayings when I make prints and items, otherwise I like it not having distractions from the focus of the florlwers and vase.

really beautiful....very very pastel in appearance.

Artist Reply: Thank you tazda! This one was one that I had started last summer and put away until I could figure out how I wanted to do it. I was looking thorough my work and just knew what it finally was. I wanted more pastel look. Glad you like it!

Wonderful and the colors blend together so well.

Artist Reply: Thank you! I try to blend colors so that the are softly blended, and in many areas not een a stroke mark. It helps with the sof look. I'm glad you liked this one!

This is superb love the soft color and awesome composition

Artist Reply: Thank you! This does seem to be a medium that works well for me. I like it the most as well. I'm a romantic sort at heart. I look forward to seeing life's beauty, rather to dwell on it's ugliness. A vase of flowers can heal my heart and keep me going.

Marvelous beauty!!!!

Artist Reply: Thank you! The real flowers are less than 3 inch blooms. I wish they were huge. They grow on a lovely climbing vine. I hope to plant more and make a wall of them to view.
