Here - Far - Farther

2/2006 - Acrylic on 20" X 30" canvas. I've been having fun creating images like this - making the lines disappear between abstract and landscape. It can jump from one to the other depending on how you look at it. This painting has a troubled energy to it to me. The foreground is a place of tension - like barbed wire - trapped. The middle and background are both states in the unknown future. Do they hold hope and relief? There is an effort to break free of the present condition and find out.
