Artist Reply: having a great model and a decent photo to work from makes a big difference. Realism requires accurate and dynamic photography to capture the details. And Joe has so much detail in his incredible face. What a history.
One beautiful painting, John. Belongs in the Top 10, but the system the way it is, will not be. You simply do not comment much. You really are one great artist and all of your paintings are beautiful.
Artist Reply: guess you are right. but i am not after the top 10 spot. Just trying to show the art to clients and collectors directed to this web gallery. As far as commenting...I do try once in awhile, but life gets busy and complicated. Just dont have much time.
