The Magician

The Magician, from the Tarot of the Sidhe. Perhaps I should explain the symbolism, as its not the standard imagery I've used here. The idea behind my version of the Magician is that he has the power of all the elements at his disposal- instead of representing these as tools, I have shown them as essential parts of his self- the wings, for air, branches for earth, tail for water, and the fire in his hands for, well, fire! He is also surrounded by the elements in the landscape, and I've used colour to emphasise them. the red sun- fire, the yellow sky-air, the green landscape, earth- the blue stream and ocean-water, blue and purple for spirit. Also the infinity symbol is formed by his tail, representing his eternal nature and the nature of spirit , magick and the universe. He represents a magick for a new age- instinctive, natural and incorporated into our life
