Friend or Foe?

Original Size: approximately 10" x 15" I imagined this piece as a type of Fantasy and Science Fiction mixture of elements. The creature behind the Nubian-like warrior woman is a kind of alien sorcerer who has made a sudden appearance. She notices the light over her shoulder from the staff and is proceeding to turn to face the being. Whether it is a friend or foe (hence the title...) is left up to the viewer's imagination.

Scaring but outstanding work

Artist Reply: Much appreciation! I did want the creature to be rather intimidating. Still, it could be trying to warn the lady of perils that lie ahead, too, si i hope the warrior lady doesn't jump the knife too quickly!...
