Illustrated in what I call "Memories Light", is the boyhood home of my father.
During the 1930's, when farms and other rural areas had no electricity, indoor plumbing or running water and where heating and cooking were by wood burning stove or fireplace, this farm, the one room school house nearby and the ritual of daily farming chores are the memories of his younger days.
During the summer of 2005, during a genealogy journey, my daughter and I visited this farm for the first time and met the family that moved there after my father's family had moved on. The pictures and their stories will be cherished forever.
