Great color and contrast..Heavy texture...I did one oil that I put on the canvas straight out of the tube..it was comissioned, and then took 4 long monts to dry. Good luck on your heavy oil textured work.
Artist Reply: In truth, The bottom layer was painted many months ago, almost dry, I then painted another layer some time after Christmas, than it was completed a few days ago with more paint. My paintings sometimes require many months of drying before I finish some. Thanks.
Beautiful image Nancy -without ofencee, I immediately thought of Van Gogh and Gauguin when they were working together in Arles (I think)? Van Gogh would have looked it closely and given some kind or positive feedback (if he was sober) whereas, Gauguin would have simply huffed, looked you up and down and then gone back to his absinthe.
