She represents beauty. I painted her born from the Lotus, a flower of beauty and purity, which is symbolic in Buddhism. It grows out of swamp water; but itself isn't stained,just like our true nature isn't stained. Venus born out of the lotus represents our potential to realize our beauty within ourselves.
