At the time I did this the background was dark, but it did look wrong so it got painted out. I agree with you that its not ideal but the art director loved it so it stayed put. Keeping the art director happy is my meaning in life (If there are any art directors out there reading this)

Rodders. Actually she's trying to suck out his brains through the side of his face hence his innane grin. Yes, this horror pic is widely misinterpreted as something romantic. :-P
