This was part of a picture that was on an old european history book of mine and I was probably supposed to be studying from it, rather than drawing from it. I think the picture is originally from the Sistine Chapel although I'm not completely sure. Does anyone recognize the face? I'd like to know for sure where it's from since I don't have the book anymore.

No idea where the face comes from, but I like the sensitivity and intimacy of the portrait. Portraits are really a window into the person's soul. Sometimes the magic's there, sometime's not. Off the top of my head, I don't recognize this from the Sistine Chapel.May Madly 07 Dec 2005
