The dreaming element comes through perfectly -- the soft muted shading in the pattern is almost like a watercolor, yet it has great edge retention (difficult, for me, in oil!) I love it.
Artist Reply: Thanks Marie. I've had a few people comment that many of my oils were watercolor like. This painting came very close to disaster when I painted the tail, the background is very thin and intentionally painted to show through, but i had difficulty with his spots on the tail, and nearly obliterated the underpainting
