Midday Break

During the Midday break all the shops are close for day prayer, the streets were so quiet that you feel like a stranger....the next series I will move to the remote places outside the town in the deserts and mountains during the winter period...

Excellent capture of the heat of midday - The glare of the bright sun off the buildings and your work with shadows is fantastic.. You have a way of taking us to the land you are describing, and that the painting has portrayed so wonderfully... Beautiful work Francis :o)

Yes, you're right! Everything stops fotr midday prayer. When were in Kuwait, they locked us into the supermarket during prayer time. They let us out when they had said their prayers though! Wonderful painting Francis. Great play of contrasted light and shadow produces that photographic quality! Fantastic!

Your work is simply outstanding, Francis, in every way.
